Cameroon have renewed their challenge for the African women’s volleyball title with a commanding 3-0 victory over Uganda in the quarter-finals of the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship in Nairobi.
The Cameroon women’s volleyball team produced a dominant performance on Tuesday, September 1, defeating Uganda 25-18, 25-20, 25-18 to book their place in the semi-finals. The result confirms Cameroon as one of the leading contenders for the 2026 African Volleyball Championship.
Cameroon Control the Quarter-Final From Start to Finish.
Cameroon established control from the opening set and never allowed Uganda to build enough momentum to threaten their lead. The Indomitable Lionesses took the first set 25-18, before maintaining their advantage in the second set, which they won 25-20.
The third set followed a similar pattern as Cameroon remained composed and efficient, closing it 25-18 to complete a straight-sets victory.
The Cameroon vs Uganda volleyball quarter-final therefore ended without Cameroon dropping a set, underlining the strength of the team’s performance at a crucial stage of the tournament.
