Cameroon’s rising generation of judokas has delivered a strong performance on the continental stage after the country’s mixed junior judo team secured a bronze medal in the Mixed Teams event at the 2026 African Junior Championships in Casablanca, Morocco.

The Mixed Teams event, which demands strength across multiple weight categories and equal contribution from male and female athletes, tested the overall depth and preparation of each participating nation.

The Mixed Teams competition featured six weight divisions, including three men’s categories: -73 kg, -90 kg and +90 kg, as well as three women’s categories: -57 kg, -70 kg and +70 kg.
